BIOGRAPHY OF A TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHER
Kyung Shik Chung was an American photojournalist, originally from Seoul. His career had spanned diverse subjects across the globe, documenting the work of the United Nations and NGOs. He worked for various corporate and institutional clients as well.
After having spent many years on the field in Western Sahara, the Balkans, West Africa, America, and Asia, Ky settled in France with his family.
A talented photographer, a loyal and funny friend, a loving father and husband, and a devoted son, Ky passed away on August 8, 2020 at the age of 53 after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
Ky leaves behind stunning photos. His dearest wish was to have prints sold in order to the public for the benefit of his children's education, Hannah (17 years old) and Noah (12).
The photo gallery presented here was prepared with love and meticulous care by his wife Catherine. Those who knew Ky will recognize his unique eye and sensitivity in these pictures.

Kyung Shik Chung était un photojournaliste américain originaire de Séoul. Il a parcouru le monde pour documenter le travail des Nations Unies et de différentes ONGs. Il a également travaillé pour plusieurs entreprises et clients institutionnels.
Après plusieurs années de terrain au Sahara occidental, dans les Balkans, en Afrique de l'Ouest, en Amérique et en Asie, Ky avait posé ses valises en France, avec sa famille.
Photographe de talent, ami drôle et fidèle, père et époux aimant et fils dévoué, Ky nous a quittés le 8 août 2020, à l'âge de 53 ans, après une longue et courageuse bataille contre le cancer.
Ky laisse derrière lui de très belles photos. Son vœu le plus cher était qu’elles soient mises en vente au profit de l’éducation de ses enfants, Hannah (17 ans), et Noah (12 ans).
